Vision

Vision Board

One of my favorite talks about Vision is by Dallin H. Oaks April 2011. He said:

When we have a VISION of what we can become our Desire and our Power to Act Increase Enormously!

If our Righteous Desires are sufficiently Intent. It will motivate us to Cut and Carve ourselves Free (Aaron Ralston – Cut his arm off with a dull knife to free himself from a boulder).

DESIRE dictates are priorities our PRIORITIES shape our CHOICES. Our Choices Determine our ACTIONS.

I created a Vision Board that I look at daily. I took a bunch of pictures off the internet that I liked, that make me feel happy, that indicate my likes, hobbies, spiritual side, family, who I am and what I want to be etc….

The intent with a Vision Board was to make my mind juicy. When ever I  feel like I have cob webs in my mind and pressure of who I want to become I look at my Vision Board and it triggers happy thoughts and keeps me focused.

I then created specific goals from this exercise.

It’s all about BALANCE with a Vision

Just like the Wheel of a car that has 5 spokes. If one of the spokes are missing. It’s like driving with a flat tire.

  1. Spiritual
  2. Family
  3. Society
  4. Physical
  5. Financial

My Dream Calling was as a leader to a group of Venture Scouts ages 16 – 19 years old. This was basically the last stop for these boys before they went on Missions and entered the Real World.

Here’s some of  their Vision Boards.
